Within Development & Engineering, the Aseptic & Filling Solutions Department is responsible for developing Aseptic technology competencies, setting and maintaining corporate standards and developing technologies and methods in support of future applications. In this position, you will interact with and support the products and technologies developments, through the definition and actuation of Verification & Validation strategy and build leading expertise in critical areas. This is a permanent position and based in Modena (Italy). The position will require up to 15% of travel time. What will you do: As a development engineer you will: • Develop and maintain innovative aseptic and filling solutions by means of advanced understanding of the physics, modelling, simulation, process control and physical testing • Supporting projects and activities defining simulation and modelling strategies and perform CFD simulations according to internal standards • Participate in studies on Aseptic Technologies, including existing and new technologies and methods • Maintain and develop current and new methods used for the verification of aseptic systems, including modelling of simulation models (in particular, computational fluid dynamics) • Run technology scouting and build competence networks with external suppliers and other partners • Participate in the definition of verification & validation strategy related to aseptic and filling processes in support to product and technology development projects, and support projects with competence on aseptic systems • Participate in technology know-how projects for specific technical initiatives • Interact with international teams based in Modena and Lund Who you are: We believe you have Master of Science degree or higher education in physics or engineering with strong competence in the area of technologies. You are fluent both in written and spoken English. You have a strong analytical background and experience in preparing high level reports and you can anticipate and understand complex situation and issues. An experience of Modelling and Simulation techniques is required (minimum 1-3 years), in particular CFD (Computational fluid dynamics). A technical knowledge of aseptic and filling methodologie and a knowledge of Ansys CFX, Fluent and Siemens StarCCM+ is considered as an advantage. You can work in groups and support others, as well as use informal authority to drive people and influence at all levels in the organisation.
