WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

This position, inside the Electrified Systems Design – System Engineering team, will support the design of the electrified products during its concept phase, acting as the first point of contact of the internal customers (platforms).

She/he will be responsible of discussing the initial requirements of the products coming from internal customers (brand/platform), keeping track of the discussions and their outcomes, facilitating reaching of solutions, bringing to the discussions results of technical studies performed by the broader team to satisfy initial requirements.

She/he will support the core functional safety team during the Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment and during the development of the fuctional safety concept. 

She/he will be responsible of the development and implementation of the Electrical Safety for which ESI team is accountable, acting as a safety interface with suppliers, ensuring compliance to all applicable ISO/EU standards/norms for Electrical Safety on HV systems, supporting ESI global team to develop technical safety solutions for in-home products. 

The position will be the first point of contact inside ESI organization for all the technical FuSa and Electrical Safety related discussions. She/he will act as subject matter expert ensuring electrical safety is incorporated into the design throughout the product development lifecycle.

The position will work closely with all the pillars inside ESI organization supporting and enabling standardization on electrical safety and FuSa design methodologies.

This global role will support both agricultural and construction equipment projects. 

This position will work closely with the Electrified Integration pillars as well as our Tests facilities (EU/US) up to CNHI Product Validation, sharing with the rest of ESI team the responsibilities to develop innovative solution matching or exceeding customer expectations in full compliance of FuSa and Electrical Safety best in class processes.


YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible of the requirements elicitation phase
  • Support the development and definition of HV safety related requirements as result of system design measures in close collaboration with corresponding domains inside ESI.
  • Support HV safety initiatives across functions and disciplines working with Product Safety and Compliance.
  • Support the definition and maintenance of the functional safety process. Participate in DFMEA for the systems integration; Analyze component FMEAs from the suppliers.
  • Participate as ESI representative to Hazard and Risk Assessments and cooperate to the FSC redaction, together with PS&C and other CNHI entities.
  • Responsible of the final delivery of the TSC with the support of system engineers and system architects
  • Collaborate with engineers globally to understand Functional Safety concepts


YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven knowledge of automotive and off-road machinery Safety Standard for electric and hybrid vehicles (e.g. ISO 60204, ISO 6469, ISO 23316, ISO 16230, ISO-DIS 23285, ECE-R100)
  • Minimum of 1 year of active usage of Advanced Documentation Management Systems such as DOORS or Polarion (and or configuration management software like SVN, VSS, or other).
  • Minimum of 2 years knowledge of Functional Safety with specific on-the-job experience and knowledge of industry standards for functional safety implementation of complex electronic control systems (e.g. ISO 61508, ISO 13849, ISO 25119, ISO 26262, EN 50128, etc.)
  • Understanding of Electronic-Electric Systems Engineering Process ("V" model preferred) and formal system development processes skills, focused on functional safety, proved by participation to the complete development cycle of at least one system development.
  • Knowledge of structured software programming language (C, C++, Model Based) and of CAN based on-road and off-road vehicle electronic-electric architectures and system implementations
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of people /audiences
  • Being able to understand technical drawings, testing, and design documents to participate in verification and validation discussions
  • Effective knowledge and proven experiences of all FMEA principles (design/component/systems/process FMEA)
  • Experience establishing and working in partnerships with global suppliers
  • An extensive amount of independent thinking is required.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with tight deadline 
  • Fluent English.
