WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The primary purposes of this position within Product Engineering are: Design and develop from concept phase 3D parts/systems of a Tractor cabs related to Cab frames, Glazing, Roofs, exterior and interior trims, mechanical controls, considering human machine interface components involved in the Cab&Body perimeter in accordance with the CNH guidelines and processes.

It also required work in Co- Design with suppliers, Co-ordinate Outsourcing Engineers if needed. He/She has to be and becomes a Technical Expert on Plastics and Sheet metal design functional area so that indicates the best technical solutions for problems involving different competencies in accordance with the installation constraints. Whenever a problem occurs, he/she finds a trade off among different needs having a wider system view.

Is requesting a System Design Engineer approach and capacity to keeping them related to each other.

He/She will also create Technical Specifications and Bill of Material and ensure consistency of CAD data from the concept to the final release as per timing given.

The role includes attending Design Reviews and DFMEA, meeting with internal Hydraulic component product line team and with suppliers if parts Co-designed.

In addition, the Designer will be also responsible to ensure storing of CAD data according to the Bill of Material structure

The above function description includes the main basic activities, but other Tractor related issues may be part of his job based on opportunities, work-load, and skills and pro-activity the candidate will demonstrate to have.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In order to achieve the Cab&Body Design Engineering , Plastics (Internal and External Trim) and Sheet metal function, the main responsibilities of the position include:

1. Within the area of responsibility assigned to the Cab&Body PE Installation, the candidate will be part of a Design team working in developing new Cab&Body projects related to a tractor range or maintenance/modifications of current product for functional or Quality improvement targets
2. Will support the activities of other design engineers within the same Vehicle team
3. Will identify the best technical, economical and manufacturing solutions for Internal and External Trims components, working (if required) with Platform, CPM (Current Project Management), Manufacturing, Testing and others.
4. Will be responsible for releasing drawings and bill of materials with respect of all Engineering KPIs (time for development, project expense, field behavior in terms of warranty claims)
5. Contributes to the overall profitability of new and existing products
6. Contributes to the decrease of overall product warranty activity
7. Contributes to cost reduction methods related to component design on new and existing products

YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A minimum of 4 years of experience and technical skills/knowledge in Automotive Internal Trim or Cabs AG/CE/Commercial Vehicles Plastic and sheet metal component design
2. Good knowledge of ProEngineer
3. Capable of producing 3D (possible 2D) feasibility studies
4. Experience in Bill of Materials
5. Good skills in office automation systems
6. Good knowledge of Plant Processes and Methods
7. Ability to work with tight deadline and under pressure
8. Autonomous worker. Can handle several projects at the same time.
9. Good communication and control skills
10. Eligibility to work in Modena
11. Travels occasionally required (IT and abroad) with some over-night stays
12. Full clean Driving Licence
13. Languages : Fluent in English & Italian
